Beach hut bathing
WHETHER you're sprucing up your existing bathroom or splashing out on a whole new suite, this beach hut bathing look is quick and simple to create.
The focus is on relaxation and tranquility, which can be achieved with a lick of pastelcoloured paint and pebble-coloured mosaic tiles.
Try going for a feature wall area. Experiment with pale blues or greens, which are must shades to create this theme, and then simply add a splashback of tiles.
Mosaics give a spa look, but large stone-coloured tiles will work just as well. Tiles are available in a range of materials to suit your budget.
Accessorise with fluffy towels in matching and contrasting colours.
This is a gentle look that will create a relaxing and serene feel in your bathroom.

How to tile for style..
PAUL Kurton, tiles product manager at home improvement retailer Wickes, offers the following advice to transform a bathroom:
FIND tiles that colour match modern bathroom suites, available as plain or decorated.
USE floor tiles on floors - wall tiles are not tough enough.
TRY to use large tiles in large rooms and small tiles in small. This is partly for aesthetics and partly for speed and ease of tiling.
WHEN you have calculated the total amount of tiles you need, add on 10 per cent for breakages and for replacing damaged tiles in future.
ALWAYS begin tiling in the corner of the room, furthest from the door.
USE the correct tile adhesive and follow the instructions on the container.
